Pole Work

Trying to get back on track with the pony after Thanksgiving craziness and saddle swaps that didn't work out. Set up some poles to do some trot work but that didn't happen.

Brantley had cruising at top speed around the arena on his mind. He also locked on a couple of barrels which was surprising because normally he's like, "Nah, I don't want to do bend around that." Not today! He's still bored. I need to ride harder and longer. Make things interesting. Get those jumps back up... And work on some pole patterns.

I've become completely obsessed with following HorsePhysio.ch posts on Facebook. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to because that sh*t is amazing.

Here's just a couple screen shot previews...

I still have yet to make some cavalettis but looking at these and watching the videos is really pushing me to figure out the indoor situation this year. I don't really have many affordable options but we'll figure it out. I just really don't want to miss out on progress. Plus... We tried last year to skip it and have the winter to kick back and relax... Did not work out in our favor. At least we tried!

Ugh, I can't wait to ride tomorrow...
