Awesome Weather

We had some freakishly amazing weather for the past two days, and then today happened. Back to the 30s! Brantley was much more together at the end of the rope for those two days though. The change in pressure (weather wise) is really messing with him and getting him a little cray-cray. I did climb up in the saddle to rub him down a bit. There's something going on with my right calf so trying to get up on that side was bit difficult. I did it though!

Today we went out for a hike in the woods. I don't about you guys but I love running with my horse. Yeah, riding is much more relaxing, but there's something about tracking around in the woods with him by my side that I love. Maybe it's just how connected we are on the ground... I'd really like to get back in the saddle again though. Sent out for some SmartCalm Ultra this round of SmartPaks. He was on Mare Magic which I think kept the edge off well enough, but that was when we were working 40-60 hours a week and going on 3-4 hour trail rides. Now we're down to 4-6 hours of work per week and 0 trail rides haha. I bet I'm not alone on that.

Happy Pony after a good roll.
I'm going to let you imagine how awesome my Thanksgiving was. *NOT*
But work is good... Only because I've changed my attitude to:
I'm going to work non-stop, eat, then work non-stop till you send me home.

Luckily it's been working... So far.

Took the dogs out for a run in the graveyard this morning. Once Bada goes home I think Chevy and I need to do our mile a day thing again, but trying to run with both of them? Bada yanks and Chevy serpentines... That just leads to a disaster and probably skinned knees and loss of front teeth.

At least B trots along with me when we run!

RUNNNN!

This is the first time over the last few weeks these two have actually played with each other.
She's leaving a week from tomorrow and I'm a bit sad...
But I know Mitch will be happy to be rid of her.

Hope everyone has been getting some shopping done.
I haven't even started... Minus the Back on Track Quick Wraps I ordered for B...
I did get my Blogger Secret Santa though!
Let the shopping begin!

Haha the two of them are so cute!! And I'm seriously amazed no one ran head first into a tree or grave stone.

I'm not going to tell you that hasn't happened yet, but if I did... Chevy would be very upset and embarrassed.

I had Bacon on the SmartCalm Ultra, and I thought they really worked to take the edge off and get her mind on the job. I hope they work they same for your handsome creature!
